AI Credits are what power Nova. Every time Nova builds, updates, or searches your workspace, it uses credits. Simple actions use fewer credits, complex generations use more — you're only charged for what you actually use.
Credits are consumed proportionally based on the complexity of your request. Asking Nova to rename a step costs far less than generating an entire workflow from scratch. There's no fixed per-action price — it scales with what you ask for.
Monthly Plan Credit Allocation: Organization on monthly Builder or Optimizer plans receive monthly credits every month on the start of the account's billing cycle.
Annual Plan Credit Allocation: Organizations on annual Builder or Optimizer plans receive the equivalent of 12 months of monthly credits allocated to their account at the start of the billing cycle. These credits function the same as monthly credits but are provided upfront for the entire year.
Monthly credits included with Builder and Optimizer plans refresh each billing cycle and don't roll over. However, your 200 starter credits and any credit packs you purchase never expire.
You can purchase a credit pack at any time to keep using Nova. Credit packs start at $20 for 500 credits and work on any plan, including Free.

Absolutely. Credit packs are available to all accounts regardless of plan. You don't need a subscription to purchase and use additional credits. Keep in mind the free plan only allows for up to 50 steps.
Your Organization Owner is the only user who is able to purchase credit packs. Reach out to the Owner of your organization to process the payment and get the credits allocated to your organization.
Nova creates and modifies real objects across your Puzzle workspace — process canvases, sections, steps, connections, teams, roles, and tool assignments. It's not generating text summaries. It's building structured workflows you can immediately edit, share, and use.
Lifetime Deal accounts receive the same 200 starter credits as every other Puzzle account. However, because Lifetime Deal pricing was a one-time purchase and not a recurring subscription, these accounts don't include a monthly credit allowance — every Nova request has a real cost that Puzzle pays. To keep using Nova after your starter credits run out, you can purchase a credit pack at any time. Credit packs work on all account types, and never expire.
